1.  Select and read one of the following texts.

2.  View the film/video adaptation of the same work.

3.  Read/view sample reviews of movies and books to determine
     what makes a good review. (see resources)

4.  Analyze theme, characterization, setting and treatment of
     symbols of literary work.  (see resources)

5.  Ascertain author's intent/purpose

6.  Compare/contrast film/video adaptation to the literary work

7.  Create a written newspaper or magazine review of the video
     version of the work.  Your review must be typed as a Word
     Document and saved as an HTML file.  Your teacher will
     demonstrate how this is done.

  • Ideas should reflect an in depth analysis of effect to which
    the film adaptation is true to the author's purpose.
  • Incorporate key elements of a critical review

8.  You will have 4 weeks to complete your film review.  A
     majority of the work must be completed on your own time.
     Time in the computer lab will be scheduled for you to work on
     your review.  All reviews will be posted on the internet.
