Mon., Nov. 28 Fri., Dec. 2 arrive to class with work printed out or handwritten Watch/read the CNN student news for any 2 days this week (do not use Friday because it's a news quiz for the week). Follow these directions.

1) Go to http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/

2)  Click on "Daily Discussion and Newsquiz" and then select the link "Click here to access the transcript of today's CNN Student News program" to see the list of questions you'll answer. 

Use your computer mouse to highlight the questions/copy/paste them into an MS Word document.  Delete the * marks because you want to add enough blank lines for your well developed response (figure 8 blank lines).

3) Type or handwrite your well developed responses to the "Daily Discussion" questions while doing #4 below.

4) Now you're ready to watch/read the news while simultaneously answering the "Daily Discussion" questions.

5) News prior to the current day is available in transcript only at "Shows and Transcripts" when you click on "Archive."

Requirements: Be sure the date for the questions you're responding to is on your work.  Use complete sentences, standard English, develop your responses, and edit/revise to polish up your work using feedback on your prior writing assignments.  
Grading: 0-15 pts. per set of "Daily Discussion" questions, and you need to respond to two day's worth of "Daily Discussion" questions (Again, do not use Friday because it's a news quiz for the week).

Wed., Sept. 14 Thurs., Sept. 15 Locate, print, and bring in a news article that exemplifies the "News Value" your team analyzed.
Wed., September 7 Tues., September 13 Course syllabus signed by student and parent/guardian.
