Welcome to World Culture and World Literature classes, affectionately referred to as "Cult./Lit."
We believe that this is one of the most challenging and inspiring high school courses available -- and we love teaching it!
Through a combined study of history, literature, and art and architecture, students will gain a unique insight into humanity's achievements. It is our goal to have students not only understand significant historical events, but also appreciate major artistic and literary works driven by the values of the times.
Cult./Lit. will be difficult at times, requiring students to think critically, manage their time effectively, and maintain a positive attitude during the inevitable "ups and downs" of the year. In short, this course will offer many opportunities for personal growth. Past students report that this course was one of the most relevant and rewarding classes of their high school careers.
We are confident that this year's students will learn a lot -- and have a great time doing so.
Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
