Algebra One
1 Year 1 Unit
Algebra One will expose students to the Algebra
process and content performance indicators. The
courses emphasis will be on the Algebra strand. The
Algebra strand guidelines are that students will able to
represent and analyze algebraically a wide variety of
problem solving situations; that students will be able
to perform algebraic procedures accurately; and that
students will be able to recognize, use and represent
algebraically patterns, relations and functions. The
accompanying Algebra Regents exam is required for
graduation and will function as a final exam for this
course representing 20% of the student’s final grade.
Required: A TI-84+ calculator.
Recommendation: At least a final grade of
75% in Math 8.
