Extended Geometry A
1 Year 1 Unit
This Mathematics course addresses part of
the New
York State Geometry curriculum that is
the second
course prescribed by the Regents program
leading
to an Advanced Regents Diploma. Students
in this
course are expected to identify and
justify geometric
relationships, formally and informally.
However,
the Geometry curriculum will be completed
during
the first semester of the subsequent
course Extended
Geometry B/Extended Algebra Two A.
Students will
not be prepared for the Regents exam in
June. If
they continue their math progression into
Extended
Geometry B/Extended Algebra Two A, they
will take
the Geometry Regents in January of the
subsequent
year.
Required: Successful completion of Algebra One or
Math A, Applied II. A TI-84+ graphing calculator
