Precalculus

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course will emphasize preparation of students for the study of advanced mathematics. The course will consist of a survey of a number of topics including linear regression, conic sections, polar coordinate geometry, differentiation and integration. Students will develop the ability to analyze, graph and solve higher degree equations. Sequences, Series, Limits, Derivatives and Integrals will be studied with limited applications to maximum, minimum, area and volume problems. A working knowledge of the real and complex number systems will be developed. Graphing techniques will involve the Cartesian and polar coordinate systems.

Requirement: Must have passed Math A and the
Math B Regents Exams. The student must purchase
a TI-83+ or TI-84+ graphing calculator.
Recommendation: Not less than an 85 final mark
