Math AB
This Mathematics course is the second in the State prescribed Regents program leading to an Advanced Regents Diploma. The course completes the Test A curriculum during the Fall Semester. Topics covered during the Fall Semester include: Quadratic Equations, Elementary Trigonometry. Locus, Systems of Equations and Probability. The Test A examination will be administered to these students during January Regents Week. The students will begin the Test B curriculum during the Spring Semester. The main topic addressed in the Spring Semester will be Euclidian Geometry. The remainder of the Test B curriculum will be covered in the subsequent course, Math B, the final course of the State Mathematics Sequence. Required: Successful completion of Math A or Math AE. Recommendation: Not less than a final mark of 80 in Math A. Student may use TI 84+ graphing calculator.
