Extended Algebra One B
1 year 1 Unit
Students in this course will continue the
curriculum
from the New York State Algebra One
curriculum
started in Extended Algebra One A. The
Extended
Algebra One program is a two-year program
that
prepares students for the Algebra Regents
exam, a
required component of graduation
requirements.
During this year the students will
explore such topics
as equation solving including system of
equations,
statistics, area and perimeter,
polynomials, right
triangle trigonometry and Probability.
The accompanying
Algebra Regents exam is required for
graduation and will function as a final
exam for this
course representing 20% of the student’s
final grade.
