Expectations

Students will be expected to:

•     Come to class on time. 3 lates = detention.

•     No food or drink (including candy & gum) in the        

•       classroom.

•     Be prepared with materials (including portfolio) and be ready to work.

•     Stay in  assigned seats.

•     Listen and not talk during instruction.

•     Deviation from this policy will result in detention.

•      Respect the materials and equipment in the art room.

•      Stay in assigned seat until the bell rings.

• Use of the computer is for E-Media class projects only. The computers in the Electronic Media Lab are made available to students to assist in their school assignments. Students must have a Shenendehowa Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) form signed by themselves and a parent/guardian on file with IMS before using any Shenet computers. SHEN computers are to be used for academic purposes only. Activities that are not allowed include:

1. Email
2. Instant Messaging, Chat programs of any kind (AIM, Meebo, etc.)
3. Message Boards
4. Games of any kind (Microsoft games, online games, Fantasy Sports, etc)
5. EBAY or any shopping services.
6. YouTube
7. Altering computer configuration in any way (changing settings, installing or removing programs, accessing a DOS prompt, etc.)

Grading will be based on:

       Timely completion of class projects and assignments. Points will be lost for lateness and for lack of necessary supplies.

       Goals & criteria for projects.

       Unit quizzes and final exam.

        Use of class time and effort.

 

Late Project Policy (based on 100 pts.)

-3 pts. per day (without absence excuse).

After 2 weeks, no projects will be accepted. (0 pts.)
