Welcome to Studio Art in Electronic Media!
This course is designed to meet
the New York State Standards for
the Arts using a "hands-on" approach to the technology of electronic media.
This will include the digital camera, the digital video camera, 35mm camera,
the computer, and its accessories.
Through lessons using these medium, students will be able to demonstrate
understanding of the Elements and Principles of Design, and the
Art Criticism Process.
Throughout this course,
students will participate in "The Museum Project". Using the knowledge
gained in
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and a series of
WebQuests, students will:
Design a logo, signage, and print materials for a small museum.
Collect artwork for three exhibitions for the museum.
These projects will be compiled
in one of the 3-ring binders on
the Supplies List.
We will use the text "Arttalk"
(Rosalind Ragans) in both the
hard copy and on-line versions.
