Studio in Creative Crafts is a foundation level class which provides an opportunity to further your art experience in a variety of upper level art courses during your high school career.  Our year long class will focus on the elements of art (line, value, shape, color, form, texture, space), and the principles of design (variety, unity, movement, balance, emphasis, rhythm).

We will also include art history, art criticism, and aesthetics from our textbook as we complete class projects.  We will focus on cultural, contemporary, and traditional crafts as we explore a variety of mediums.  There will be quizzes and a final exam in June based on chapters eight chapters in our textbook.  There will be occasional homework, and due dates for all assignments will lose 5 points per day if late.

For Crafts classes, the final exam will be scheduled during the second week in June.  It will be worth 20% of your grade.  There are three components: the multiple choice section, an essay on art criticism, and the practical which will consist of demonstrating understanding of studio techniques learned throughout the year.
