NYSSMA Instrumental Solo festival held this year:

 

May 30-31 at Guilderland High School

 

Students interested in participating in the NYSSMA solo festival should check their calendar and clear the following two dates.   At this time students should consider what level and solo they wish to prepare and are encouraged to discuss this with their private lesson instructor and/or with their school band director. 

   

Preparation is key for success……PLAN IN ADVANCE!!!!!!

 

 

NYSSMA will be held at Guilderland High School

 

Friday            May 30^th         4:00PM-9:00PM 

Saturday        May 31^st          9:00AM-5:00PM

Reminder:

·  Students will need (2) original copies of their solo for performance  

·  Scales AND sight-reading are required for all levels  

·  All-State soloists must have piano accompaniment unless noted otherwise – please secure your accompanist NOW and allow for rehearsal time.
