Hey, there's a whole ocean out there just waiting to be explored!

No matter where you live, the ocean touches your life every day. It's the world's great weather maker and a major provider of food. It's the primary means of transport for world commerce, transporting over 2 billion tons of products to Americans per year. It's seen as the 21st century's treasure chest for new pharmaceuticals. It's also an endless source of recreation, fascination, and awe. Yet we know less about this resource that covers over 70% of our planet than we do about the moon.
