Forensic Science involves many of the topics we study in Biology - and it's FUN!

This project uses scientific inquiry in a real world application that is fun and exciting.  It encourages teamwork, organization, and problem solving, while also teaching many parts of the Living Environment curriculum.   I am anticipating that it will be a favorite part of the course.

Students will first complete a set of labs to become familiar with the various techniques of evidence analysis.  They will then be presented with a crime scene and evidence, which will be analyzed through the methods they have learned.

PowerPoint presentations will be created for each lab technique and after the group presentations, students will determine who the culprit is.  Students will create group portfolios which include all of their research, lab work, analysis, and conclusions.
