We will be going outside to a meadow (behind HS West) for lab #2 this week. The day depends on the weather. I plan to go out Tues (A labs) and Wed (B labs). Wear long pants (jeans/dark color) and sneakers or boots – you may want to bring old shoes and socks to wear for the lab. Your feet may get damp from dew in morning classes. Your group needs 2 large bags to carry specimen (grocery store bags or gallon size zip locks).

Mon 9/14 Read Lab #2 "A Field Study"

Bring 2 shopping bags per team for carrying plants (plan who will be responsible)

Tue 9/15 Do: Study guide section 1: Intro to Biology p 3 (13) out of HW packet . Do questions 1-12 (1 side). Use your text book pp 4-10 to find the answers.

Remind your parents about Open House tomorrow night. The can attend per 2, 4, 6, or 8 and hear the same presentation from me. No lab sections for Open House.

Wed 9/16 Tonight is Open House

Do: p 4 out of HW packet (Study guide section 1: Intro to Biology) Do questions 13-28 (1 side). Use your text book pp 4-10 to find the answers.
