D.  Lock & Key Model ANSWERSS
(The theory about E-S Complex structure)  (induced fit?)

Biologists often compare abstract (hard to see) topics with those more familiar to students.
One such comparison is that of and enzyme to its substrate is like a key to its lock.

The diagram has been removed here to save space.

            1.  the enzyme  active site  based on its  S H A P E  functions like  a  K E Y

            2.  a part (top) of the two substrates based on its  S H A P E  functions like  a  L O C K

            3.  In the end, the   SUBSTRATE   is physically changed, but the ENZYME  is
         unchanged

            4.  Does the enzyme catalyzed reaction show a splitting (lysis) or joining (synthesis)
         type reaction?    _A SYNTHESIS__
