Introduction

This document also exists in print on green paper.  If you want to view the optional video on Amphibian Development from PowerMediaPlus.com, and have not yet set up an account with them, then ask for a copy of this green page.  Please return it to your teacher so others may later use it. 

You may wish to print this page before attempting this sign in procedure.  It’s a good idea except for one little problem.  There is no functional printer set up in the bio rooms at this time!  At the very least, write down the case sensitive pass code in #3 below.  

Video Account Set-up Instructions

Shen has purchased access to a multidiscipline (many subjects) video library.    Once you set up an account, it may be used from home or from school and will allow you to search by topics of interest.  I’m most interested in biology videos (surprise!), but this may be used for a variety of subject areas.   Here’s how to set up an account: 

1.    In your browser, go to www.powermediaplus.com

2.    Click the new subscribers log-in link

3.    Your case sensitive general pass code is:  JtBXvJCybk

4.    Completely fill out the required data fields

       a.  write down your password, since you will need it each time you access this account.

5.    Choose Window’s Media Player as your tool of choice

6.    Click on the SAVE button and

       a.    you’re done son                                  OR

       b.    you did as you oughtta daughta

7.    Good luck!  Videos may have to be buffered.  That means the first time it is played, you will
       not be able to hear the sound portion. Repeat playings will have full sound.  The Windows
       Media Player scroll bar will allow you to adjust the sound level. 

       You will also be given a chance to change the password from the weird one above (Jt B …)
       to one of your choice.  Record it please.

8.   There is a second video site available through a Shen contract.  It is found at the following
      URL.    http://www.archive.org/details/movies   I don’t know if it is password protected like
      the former site.
