Between 1750 and the present, Europe and the United States experienced a period of rapid industrialization. This industrialization was driven by the application of better technologies that made it possible to produce goods cheaper and faster.  In addition to production, scientists made important discoveries about diseases, genetics and chemistry.  The world would never be the same.
