| In Social Studies we are learning about the Revolutionary War. The colonists (most of them) thought the taxes were unfair. In our class we played a game where if you weren't a British and you stood up, you got charged a tax (candy). You also got charged if you sharpened your pencil, went to the potty, or talked back. If you ran out of money (candy), you went to Debtor's Prison (the back table). The British were very harsh. Tons of people were sent to Debtor's Prison. This helped us understand the lesson better. | |||||||||
