| The focus of our team is to help Karigon students demonstrate competency in the learning standards. Subject areas include English language arts and math (K-5) as well as social studies and science (grades 4 & 5). |

The goal of our team is to work with classroom teachers and other specialists within Karigon to deliver a coordinated, skill based program which assists students across several subject areas. We deliver additional instruction that supplements the general curriculum and addresses difficulties, leading to improved academic performance. | ||||||

Students are eligible for AIS when they score below the designated performance levels on New York State assessments or are at risk of not meeting State standards. Procedures used to identify students at risk of not meeting State standards might include: scores on State assessments, reading assessments/literacy profiles, writing portfolios, assessments of content skills, review of classroom performance, and report card grades. |
