Teacher Page
This WebQuest is designed as a beginning activity for using computer resources. It also consists of a short, structured writing activity. Students should work with a partner and write in the first person. On the resources page, the "starred" (*) items indicate a website with an easier reading level. Each set of partners will need their own computer. It will take about two 45 minute sessions to do the research. Then, the rough copy and conferencing may be done in the classroom. Two 45 minute sessions will be needed in order to type the final copy and insert a picture. It is suggested that a class book be made as the end product, consisting of all students' owl pages. The teacher or a student may be in charge of creating a table of contents for the book. This book may also be duplicated for all students using a xerox machine.
