Team 7-1 Policies

 

Welcome to our 7th Grade Team!  We are excited about the upcoming school year and hope to build true team comaraderie amongst ourselves.  As your team teachers, we would like to explain policies that all of us use in our classrooms. 

A. Homework (posted on website: www.shenet.org teacher webpages Team 7-1)

    1. Homework is a vital part of all your classes and it is expected to be completed and handed in on time. All assignments should be written in your agenda, and agenda and homework folder must go home daily.
    2. If for some reason you must hand in work late, it must be marked "LATE" or "ABSENT" on the top.
    3. Any work that is handed in late (after the period it was due) will be given half the credit of the original assignment.
    4. All late work must be handed in by Friday of the week it was due; if not it remains a zero in the grade book.

5. Your Agenda is a schoolbook and therefore is not to be destroyed in anyway
(no ripping pages out)
6. All students caught sharing schoolwork will receive a zero on the assignment

B. No Name Papers

    1. Any paper that is handed in without a name will be considered late and given only partial credit, after it is claimed. This is irresponsible and time consuming for teachers and a practice that is unacceptable. Unclaimed papers will receive a zero!

C. Test Corrections

    1. If you fail a test it can be corrected to a 70, at the discretion of the teacher.
    2. Corrections must be done within a week after the test is returned.
    3. Seat time must be given so you and your teacher can discuss mistakes.

D. Homework Club

    1. As a team we are always concerned when a student is struggling with low or failing grades. In order to address some of the difficulties a student may be having, we assign these students to extra help sessions, called Homework Club.
    2. These extra help sessions are held before and after school (depending on the teacher).
    3. Homework Club students are determined starting with the 1st quarter interims and continues after each report card and interim.
    4. Once assigned to Homework Club, students remain for the entire quarter.
