***Scientific calculators are needed for grades 7 and 8.
All students in grades 3 through 8 are required to take the NYS assessment in mathematics.
These assessments serve these purposes:
1. Identify students who are
not meeting State Standards.
2. Modify curriculum and instructional methods.
3. Meet NCLB requirements.
