Homework is assigned on a regular basis.  Assignment time will range from 15 to 30 minutes each night.   The assignments might include reading a section in the textbook, writing definitions for vocabulary words, completing information in the Cornell Method, answering textbook questions in complete sentences, solving vocabulary puzzles, completing cloze worksheets, writing a summary about a science current event in the news, completing the scientific method for labs, or doing research for projects.  Of course, reviewing for quizzes and tests is essential on a daily basis. 

Homework assignments will be graded on a point system.  It is important that assignments be completed carefully and handed in on time. Your child will record his/her grades on the Table of Contents that is located in his/her science binder.  To calculate the average, add up the total earned points by the number of total possible points.  Multiply that number by 100 to arrive at the final average.
