Homework provides excellent opportunities for developing good study habits and for reviewing and reinforcing lessons. Homework helps to foster a sense of self-discipline, personal responsibility and independent thinking. Homework assists in determining the grade in a subject.
The following is the procedure used for obtaining homework when you are absent from school:
For absences of 1-2
days:
Call a study buddy in your class to find out your
assignments. Try to do as much as you can. If you don't have what you need to do
your assignment, middle school buildings are open most evenings.
For absences
lasting more than 2 days:
A parent must request the homework by telephoning
the Counseling Office as soon as they know that their son/daughter will be out
for three or more days.
(As seen in the student agenda book page 6)
