Continuing on your journey, you and your group will be assigned to a
   specific time period in the geologic time scale. 

   Once assigned to a specific time period, you and your group members will
   become sleuths.  As a sleuth you will need to search the websites provided
   and gather information on the following:

           climate and environment

           position and movement of landmasses

           organisms

           geologic events

           mass extinction

   When you have found information that you would like to use, write it down
    on the worksheet provided and then continue on to your new task as an
    expert reporter.

    As an expert reporter you and your group will report your findings to the
    class in the form of a poster presentation. 

    Your poster should include detailed information about the climate,
    landmasses, organisms, geologic events, and mass extinction of your
    assigned time period; pictures of organisms and the positions landmasses
    should be included as well; it should be neat, colorful, and eye-
    catching.
