PEER MEDIATION AT ACADIA

Having a problem with a friend of yours?

Is someone bothering you?

Having a conflict with someone you don't even know?

Are you being targeted because of your height, size or what you wear?

REQUEST A PEER MEDIATION!!!!!

Although middle school is a fun place to be it can be very stressful at times because of situations like these.

Because we want Acadia to be a comfortable place for everyone to learn and have fun,

we have developed a Peer Mediation Program to make it a little easier on you!

How do I request a Peer Mediation?
Peer mediation requests forms are available in the Main Office and the Counseling Office.
Once you have completed it, you can return it to Mrs. Bellard, the counseling office secretary.
Within 2-3 days after that you will be provided a pass to come to the counseling office for your mediation.

Who does the mediations?
Students, that's who! In a two day training session students were trained on how to complete
peer mediations. No worries....these students are comfortable with the mediations and more importantly
EVERYTHING is confidential!!!!
