These are just some examples of how I can help you feel more comfortable while you are a student here at Acadia. Please feel free to stop in the Counseling Office for any reason.
Confidentiality
At times it may be important to you that your discussion with me remains
confidential; please le me know this at the very beginning. However, in certain
cases, it will not be possible for me to agree to confidentiality.
Confidentiality will not exist if:
Someone could be hurt (self or others)
Something illegal has or will take place
How to make an
appointment
In most cases you will obtain a pre-signed pass from your counselor. A pass to
see your counselor can also be obtained from a teacher or another staff member.
You can also stop into the Counseling Center during homeroom or in between
classes.
