We are now well into our Poetry Unit. Various poetic devices have been introduced, including similes, metaphors, alliteration, and personifications. The children will also be composing their own poetry in the form of Haikus, Cinquains, and Limericks. At the same time, we will be working on a variety of reading comprehension packets that will help them become better prepared to identify and interpret the following components found in all written material: Facts, Main Idea, Sequence, Inference, Context, and Conclusion.
Below, you will find a tentative schedule for the week. All assignments are due the next day, unless an extended due date is posted. If we do not accomplish the work that was scheduled for a particular day, the assignments may be postponed or put off to the next day. Please check this site frequently. (Class Work & Homework)
