Technology- "The study of the way we use knowledge and materials to improve our lives."

Anthropology. The body of knowledge available to a society that is of use in fashioning implements, practicing manual arts and skills, and extracting or collecting materials.
1. Communication Technology- the study of the way we send messages and information. Examples, pagers, palm pilots, email.
2. Production Technology- the study of the way we make things. Examples, factories, farms, food production, process industries.
3. Transportation Technology- the study of the way we move people and goods from one place to another. Examples, cars, planes, trains, bikes, boats.
4. Biotechnology- the study of the way we improve our lives through Biology. Examples, pace-makers, heart transplants, wheelchairs, medications.
