Gowana’s Homework Policy

Homework provides an excellent opportunity for developing good study habits and for reviewing and reinforcing lessons.  Homework helps in determining the final grades in subject areas.  In order to be successful in middle school you must complete your homework.

The following is the procedure used for obtaining homework when you are absent from school:

For absences of 1-2 days

Call a study buddy in your class to find out your assignments.  Try to do as much as you can so you do not fall behind.  If you do not have what you need to complete your assignments, the middle school buildings are open most evenings.

For absences lasting more than 2 days

A parent must request homework by telephoning the Counseling Office (881-0463) or send an email to Ms. Curione
