·         Thoroughly develops an alternate historical outline.

·         Is both descriptive and analytical.

·         Incorporates a great deal of relevant and factual information from preceding history.

·         Bases alternate history on clear and effective historical thinking and interpretations.

·         Incorporates significant realistic creativity.

·         Demonstrates a logical and clear plan of organization; includes an introduction and a conclusion that are beyond a restatement of the provided background.

·         Develops an alternate historical outline.

·         Is more descriptive than analytical.

·         Incorporates adequate relevant and factual information from preceding history.

·         Bases alternate history on mostly clear and effective historical thinking and interpretations.

·         Incorporates adequate realistic creativity.

·         Demonstrates a logical and clear plan of organization; includes an introduction and a conclusion that are beyond a restatement of the provided background.

·         Develops and alternate history outline, but it may be unevenly developed.

·         Is more descriptive than analytical.

·         Incorporates some relevant and factual information from preceding history.

·         Bases alternate history on historical thinking and interpretations, some of which may not be completely developed.

·         Incorporates some realistic creativity.

·         Demonstrates a satisfactory plan of organization; includes an introduction and a conclusion that may be a simple restatement of the provided background.

·         Is primarily descriptive; may include faulty, weak, or isolated application or analysis.

·         Incorporates little relevant and factual information from preceding history.

·         Bases alternate history on generally flawed historical thinking and interpretations.

·         Incorporates limited realistic creativity.

·         Demonstrates a general plan of organization; may lack focus; may contain digressions; may lack an introduction and/or conclusion.

·         Is descriptive; may lack understanding, application, or analysis.

·         Incorporates little or no relevant and factual information from preceding history.

·         Bases alternate history on flawed historical thinking and interpretations.

·         Creativity is unrealistic.

·         May demonstrate a weakness in organization; may lack focus; may contain digressions; may lack an introduction and/or conclusion.
