Grading
Grades
- Every piece of work is worth a certain number of
points. To figure out a student's grade, add up the points earned and
divide by the total number of points.
- During the course of each quarter, students will be
taking several tests, writing at least one DBQ, maintaining an organized
binder that will be graded, working on an in depth project, and completing a
number of homework assignments.
Homework
- Homework will usually be assigned 3-4 times each week.
- When possible, homework will not be assigned over
weekends.
- Each homework assignment is worth five points.
Every homework assignment that is handed in on time and shows good effort will
receive a full five points.
- Late homework loses one point each day it is not
submitted, except cases of absence or family emergency.
- By the end of the quarter, homework usually makes up
between twenty and thirty percent of the overall grade. Consistent
effort on homework, therefore, can help boost grades!
