Welcome to seventh grade mathematics! This should prove to be an
exciting year for both students and teachers as we continue with the
new standards in math for New York State in grades K - 8. These
changes began two years ago when we introduced new topics in seventh
grade. Things to look forward to are: working with integers, solving
algebraic equations, 3 dimensional geometry, and applications of
percents. By working together and giving it our best effort, we should
all have a successful year.
This year we also have a great textbook for the seventh grade.
Each student will be given a textbook to bring home and leave there
for the entire year. No more excuses about forgetting your book in
school! There will be a class set in my classroom for use during class
and during a study hall.
