What You Can Discuss:

• A personal problem

• Social problems, friends, peer pressure, etc...

• Academic concerns

• Study skills and organizational skills

• Information regarding outside counseling programs

• A schedule problem or to receive advice to help you make decisions about next year's schedule

• How to obtain information on careers

• How to obtain working papers

• How to request homework for students who will be out for 3 days or more

These are just some examples of how I can help you feel more
comfortable while you are a student here at Koda.

Please feel free to stop in the Counseling Office for any reason.

Confidentiality
At times it may be important to you that your discussion with me remains confidential.
Please le me know this at the very beginning.
However, in certain cases, it will not be possible for me to agree to confidentiality.

Confidentiality will not exist if:

• Someone could be hurt (self or others)

• Something illegal has or will take place

How To Make An Appointment
In most cases you will obtain a pre-signed pass from your counselor.
A pass to see your counselor can also be obtained from a teacher
or another staff member during a study hall.
You can also stop into the Counseling Center before school, during homeroom, lunch, and after school.
