Our school district continues to prepare students to be successful on the New York State tests. This year I will be initiating a Social Studies Performance Task and several Document Based Essay questions to give your child the opportunity to use higher level thought processes and skills. Learning how to interpret and analyze real documents and how to respond to them is an important skill that will be used throughout his or her educational experiences. These tasks reflect the new state standards and assessments.
