WELCOME BACK !!!!!........... Congratulations to you for finding this website and taking the time to learn a little about your seventh grade team. You will find seventh grade quite different than sixth grade in many ways. The block schedule is gone, you will be responsible to more teachers for more courses, and you will be traveling further throughout the middle school complex. In addition, you will probably have more homework and your teachers will expect more from you as you move on through the middle year of middle school. You will be preparing for state exams in English and Math this year, and for Social Studies and Science the following year. The keys to your success will be organization and effort, and your team teachers will be assisting you with strategies to help you achieve your goals. Let's work together to make this a great year !!!!!!

HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER....... THE MITTEN PROJECT........ From Monday, November 26 through Tuesday, December 11 students will be able to purchase paper mittens in their homerooms for $.50 each. Mittens with the donors' names will be displayed in the 7th grade hallway, and all money raised will be used to buy toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. After the collection period ends and the toys are purchased, representatives from the Marines will come to Koda to pick up our donations and thank the students in an informal ceremony in our hallway. We are hoping that competition between our team homerooms (and with Team 7-1's Snowman Project) we will raise a lot of money this year for a very worthy cause. Instead of or in addition to monetary donations we will also gladly accept donations of new toys.

Team teachers and randomly selected students shopped for toys on December 11 and the Marines picked up our donations on December 14. NEW YEAR, NEW YOU.............. Second semester begins on Monday, January 28. With two quarters and one state test (ELA) behind us, and two quarters and one state test (Math) to go, now is a good time to regroup, reassess, and for some turn over a new leaf for the new year. One important part of this effort is to check on your supplies to see if you need to buy anything for new second semester classes, or replenish/replace pens, pencils, paper, etc. for the last half of the year. Click here for the supply list. Make a resolution to put your best foot forward and give your maximum best effort for the last two quarters of the school year.
