SAGE - Shenendehowa Advocates for Gifted Education Website
SAGE sponsors Saturday Scholars, a program of mini-courses designed to provide challenging enrichment opportunities for academically, creatively and artistically talented children.

Shen Dollars for Scholars program offers a wide-range of scholarships including memorial scholarships, additional scholarships with specific emphases, as well as the general DFS scholarship. Interested applicants should visit the website and click on Scholarship Application for specific requirements.

Orenda is one of four elementary schools located on the main campus. It is connected to Karigon Elementary School sharing a cafeteria/auditorium. It opened in 1968.

News

	Beginning September 2008, Shenendehowa has prepared a district-wide supply list for elementary schools that includes district-supplied items and parent-supplied items. This is an effort to reduce the variations across schools and the amount of supplies that parents have to purchase at the beginning of the year. 	In an effort to ensure consistent practices and protocols across our elementary schools, the district has developed an elementary handbook for students and parents and a volunteer handbook. 	The Orenda PTA participates in the Box Tops for Education Program. This program, sponsored by General Mills, provides different ways for our school to earn money. Our school goal is $2,000, our coordinator is Judy Mayfield. For more information, click here.

Gr. 1-5 school starts at 8:05 a.m. and dismisses at 2:15 p.m
AM kindergarten starts at 8:05 a.m. and dismisses at 10:40 a.m.
PM kindergarten starts at 11:45 a.m. and dismisses at 2:15 p.m.

DIRECTIONS

Take the Northway I87 to Exit 9. Head west on Route 146. At the fourth light take a left onto the main campus. Take your first right, Orenda is the first building on the right. It is the school on the left side of the building.
