###For our first writing piece we will be writing a letter for BOX TOPS.  Here is the copy of the letter sent home to the parents explaining the box tops contest. 

Dear Parents,

 In order to get our next writing piece on its way we have to ask for some help. PTA has given us another way to receive Box Tops. We are encouraged to write to family and friends asking them to save their box tops. When they send the box tops back to us in a post marked envelope, the envelope will be put into a drawing for the student to win a prize. If you get 10 envelopes back with box tops in them, then you are put into the drawing 10 times. This will also help our homeroom total box tops count.

This week we will be writing our letters and mailing them out from school. We do need help getting addresses of our family and friends. Can you please help your child write the addresses on the back of this sheet so that when we go to mail them out we have them ready to go. Let’s start with a few addresses each and see how that goes. You can always continue sending letters out at home.
