Hello, and welcome to my class Website and Shatekon Elementary School! I want to take a moment to introduce myself. I am Mr. Morcone, and this will be my seventh year teaching. I have previously taught fourth grade, I have been teaching fifth grade for the past four years. Words cannot express how excited I am about being a small part of a wonderful school like Shatekon Elementary!

     I attended Hudson Valley College for my Associates Degree and then The College of Saint Rose for my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with an English concentration. I also received my Master’s Degree as a Literacy Specialist there as well. I enjoy reading, music, working out and playing all types of sports. I also played football in college for two years and have played the drums for about ten. I am a N.Y. Giants and a huge Yankee fan.  I reside in the Ballston area and am married.

    This year, my class will be engaging in many reading comprehension strategies in all content areas and students will become better readers and writers while having fun! I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. I simply love teaching and there is nothing else I would want to do in life.
