SHENENDEHOWA ANNOUNCES FINALISTS IN THE 2017
NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Mr. Donald Flynt, Shenendehowa High School Principal, has announced Shenendehowa’s student finalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. To achieve the status of finalist requires achievement in the top one percent of United States high school graduating seniors who took the National Merit Scholarship examination. This award is one of the highest forms of recognition that a high school senior can achieve.
The recipients of this recognition are Kevin Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Cook of Ballston Lake; Kimberly Dong, daughter of Mr. Jiawen Dong and Mrs. Ning Zhu of Clifton Park; Derek Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hoffman of Rexford; Justin Sargunas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vidmantas Sargunas of Clifton Park; Priyanka Thapa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ram Thapa of Mechanicville; Wesley Turner, son of Mr. Wesley Turner and Mrs. Catherine Moreus of Rexford and Edward Xie, son of Mr. Yiyuan Xie and Mrs. Qingxia Zheng of Waterford.
A certificate will be presented to them at the high school’s Awards Program on Thursday, May 25th. The program will be held in the Shenendehowa High School auditorium.
