Shenendehowa District’s Health and Wellness Committee is collaborating with Shenendeyoga to offer yoga programs to students.  Please see below regarding program offerings at each level. 

 

Elementary School Yoga Programs

Shen District’s Health and Wellness committee is collaborating with Shenendeyoga to offer yoga programs to students.  Shen Elementary School students are invited to participate in an unstoppable, resilient, and empowered community through the practices of mindfulness and yoga.  This program focuses on creating a healthy body and mind, reducing stress, improving concentration and building self-esteem.  The program will include postures, exercises, music and games.  The program will be offered to all elementary students within the district on a first come, first serve basis.  Certified instructors will be teaching each session of the program.  Information will be shared regarding the registration process.  Please contact Jennifer Sykes for more information via email at sykejenn@shenet.org.

Middle School Yoga Program

Shen District’s Health and Wellness committee is collaborating with Shenendeyoga to offer yoga programs to students.  Shen Middle School students are invited to participate in an unstoppable, resilient, and empowered community through the practices of mindfulness and yoga.  Yoga complements other activities and promotes both inner and outer strength, reduces stress, in addition to building confidence, focus and connection.  The program includes body movement exercises, flowing sequences and restorative postures.  The program will be offered to all middle students within the district on a first come, first serve basis.  Certified instructors will be teaching each session of the program.  The middle school program will be offered February 2, 2017 – March 30, 2017 from 3:45-4:45pm in the Adaptive PE Room.  Information will be forthcoming regarding the registration process.  Please contact Julie Parsons for more information via email parsjuli@shenet.org or Rose Beckett beckrose@shenet.org

High School Yoga Programs
