High School West
Shenendehowa will be hosting its annual district-wide cultural festival on Saturday, March 25th from 10AM-2PM at High School West. We are looking for students and their families to showcase their heritage, languages, culture and countries of origin.
There are several ways to participate in celebrating the rich diversity of cultures in our community:
- World Village: Families and groups of families can showcase their heritage, languages, culture, and countries of origin. Each country will have a table in the cafeteria where they can display maps, flags, information, cultural artifacts, and food. Traditional dress is welcome and encouraged! Please contact Stephanie Feinberg at email@example.com if you would like to participate in the World Village.
- Cultural Corner: Individuals or groups may give short presentations (audio/visual equipment provided) about their countries or languages, perform traditional songs, dances, poetry, skits, or special skills such as martial arts or calligraphy. Please contact Adam Sweet at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to participate in the Cultural Corner.
- International Fashion Show: Individuals may model traditional clothes or submit traditional clothes for student volunteers to model during the Fashion Show in the auditorium. Please contact Jessica Nappi at email@example.com if you would like to participate in the International Fashion Show.
