HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS

*Bring a water bottle & healthy, easy to eat snack to school each day! 

This year, our Homework Assignment page is in the Left Pocket of your child's Take Home Folder. Your child may update or include reminders for sending in a Book Order, wearing a Hat for Student Council Days, etc.

*Please also check your child's Stoplight daily...hopefully, it was a "green" day.  If not, please sign and your child will show it to me in the morning, then return to "green."  This is also in your child's Left pocket of their Take Home Folder. They are 2-sided, so please check to be sure before you recycle it!

*The Word Wall Ring is an optional weekly activity.  Your child may write each of the five weekly word wall words on a separate index card.  Then practice ABC order by arranging all of the words into ABC order.  Please keep this at home...we have the Word Wall in our classroom to refer to!

*If your child is absent, you may access the spelling sentences/homework and the word wall words...just go to the 2nd grade homepage.

*Spelling Dictation takes place each Friday.  Your child needs to practice the sentences each day...perhaps 2 sentences each day.  This will help your child to be successful with our dictation sentences!  The only written spelling homework which needs to be returned are the Monday homework sentences. The remainder of the week is "independent study."

*Math homework is generally assigned on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.  It is a review of our daily math concept.  Please check your child's math worksheet page which goes home daily...this will help you to use the same vocabulary terms that we use in class and avoid confusion for your child!  If your child has some problems to "Finish" or "Fix" please work on it together.
