1. How often will my child have music class?
All students in grades one through five will have music class
twice per week for thirty minutes each.
2. Are there
other classroom music teachers at Skano?
All students will have Miss Slezak for music this year.
3.
What other musical opportunities will my child have at Skano?
All fourth and fifth graders have the opportunity to join the
Skano chorus. In fourth grade students have the opportunity to begin a
string instrument. Fifth graders may begin a band instrument.

addition, all participating fifth grade chorus members may audition for the
Skano Select chorus.
4. What will my child be learning
in music class at Skano?
Students at Skano will participate in a variety of activites
including singing, dancing, reading and writing music, instrument playing,
recorder playing, acting/drama with music, and music history.
