The student will be taught using a variety of instruction techniques.
Children will switch for math. The class a child is assigned to is based on
several criteria including second grade teacher recommendation, second grade
test results, third grade testing, etc. Opportunities for both enrichment and
re-teaching are built into this program. Knowledge of the basic skills, problem
solving, completing assignments, and working accurately are areas of emphasis at
this level. There will be a pre-test and post-test given during most math
chapters. The math units are:

Multiplication – Facts 0 – 5
Multiplication – Facts 6 – 10
