Drug Abuse Resistance Education

DARE stands for Drug  Abuse  Resistance  Education.  The program in the Shenendehowa Central School District is sponsored by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Rodney Gwiazdowski.  Skano's DARE program begins in February. We finish the program with a meaningful and educational graduation ceremony in June.  The DARE program helps students to make informed decisions and to believe in themselves.  It teaches them the gate-way drugs and how to say no to them.  The DARE curriculum focuses on the following topics:
