Many people say that the school does not actually recycle any of their recyclable goods even if the recycling goods are in the recycling bins. Is this just the high school or is it throughout the district? I believe that recycling is a very important especially when the school uses so much paper.

A.  We do have hallway and dock side containers for co-mingling recycling and remove several tons per week.  However more than not we find the containers inside the hallway cannot be recycled from being contaminated with articles that are not recyclable. Can new water fountains be put in (to replace old ones) at hse? The old ones don’t work as well and aren’t as cold.

Just an idea to consider for the future: the speed bumps throughout the school tend to be a little rough while driving, even when driving at a slow speed. I was wondering if there was any way to change them to make them a little more smooth and gradual, kind of like the speed bumps in the Shoppers World Plaza by Market 32 in Clifton Park. Second story rescue windows are sort of pointless if you’re just going to plummet and potentially hurt yourself. I know the fire department or whoever, God forbid if need be, is supposed to break your fall by catching you, but the reality of it is that they probably can’t get there quick enough in such abundance as to help multiple second story classrooms in distant locations from one another. Shouldn’t there be a rope or a rope ladder in each upstairs classroom? That would help so much if there was ever an event in which the second story rescue windows were needed. Thanks.
