whats up with all the geese at Shatekon, its really disgusting and a health hazard. There is geese droppings everywhere. Taxpayer money is going into it’s upkeep while it sits unused for almost three months during the summer.” The pool does NOT sit unused for almost 3 months, a swim team pays to use it during the school year and the summer, and girls varsity starts in August

Why is the Shen pool at Gowana not open to the public during the summer. Taxpayer money is going into it’s upkeep while it sits unused for almost three months during the summer. As taxpayer money pays for it, it should be open to those taxpayers, as other Shen athletics facilities are, such as the track and tennis courts.

Many people say that the school does not actually recycle any of their recyclable goods even if the recycling goods are in the recycling bins. Is this just the high school or is it throughout the district? I believe that recycling is a very important especially when the school uses so much paper.

A.  We do have hallway and dock side containers for co-mingling recycling and remove several tons per week.  However more than not we find the containers inside the hallway cannot be recycled from being contaminated with articles that are not recyclable.
