Congratulations to New York State English Council Creative Writing Award winners Freya Griffin (Poetry) and Chiho Kakita (Short Fiction/Creative Non-Fiction). The Shen Seniors attended the NYSEC Awards Luncheon with English teacher Jordan White, who nominated them for the award.

Students in Mrs. Tallman’s 9th grade orchestra class recently participated in an activity that worked on feeling a steady beat. The students listened to songs that were at different speeds and tossed bean bags to one another on the beat.
