EXPECTATIONS 4th Grade: 30 mixed multiplication & division facts (to 12 x 12) in 1 minute 3rd Grade: 30 single digit multiplication facts in one minute ; 30 single digit division facts in one minute 2nd Grade: 30 single digit addition facts in one minute ; 30 single digit subtraction facts in one minute However, if your child can complete each of the above in 40 seconds then they know their facts with immediate recall!! |

Student's writing should contain the following: * The opening paragraph (in 4th grade this can be can be 1 sentence) *Paragraph 2 will be how things compared are alike. This should contain 3 or 4 examples and thoughts / comments for the examples. * Paragraph 3 will be how things compared are different. This should contain 3 or 4 examples and thoughts / comments for the examples. * Paragraph 4 is the closing paragraph. This should be a restatement of the opening paragraph and contain a thought / comment. |
